Balong Education Tourism Asked To Comply With Health Protocol

INFOKU, BLORA -Susanto, Chairperson of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) of Balong Village, Jepon District, Blora Regency, Central Java, said that entering into the adaptation of new habits appealed to Blora ceramics visitors (educational tourism destinations) to comply with the health protocol.
"We urge all visitors to comply with health protocols," he said in Blora yesterday.

He said since getting a simulation from the Youth Culture and Tourism Office (Dinporabudpar) Blora Regency slowly began to clean up and reopen the Blora ceramic craft for educational tours made from clay.
"We are slowly reopening, because I'm sure many have missed learning to make handicrafts from clay," he explained.
That, he said, was proven by the presence of a number of students who came and wanted to see up close how to make pottery and ceramic crafts from clay.
"During this time many children and adolescents want to learn, but because in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, it must follow the government's recommendations," he said.
But now, he continued, has begun to receive visitors, but it is limited and compliant with health protocols such as washing hands with soap with running water in the space provided, measuring body temperature, wearing masks and keeping a distance.
"In addition, we do spraying disinfectants in the practice of making crafts," he explained.
Meanwhile, Arsyad, one of the students who visited the ceramic gallery said he was happy and enthusiastic about learning to make clay handicrafts.
"Happy, well received and taught to make crafts until they can. So I want to try again, "he said.
A similar sentiment was delivered by Fatiya, a high school student in Blora. According to him, it was the first time he came to Blora ceramics in Balong village.
"This is my first time in Blora ceramics. It turns out that they are well guided and taught. Very happy, "he said.
As is known, the Blora Regency Dinporabudpar said that Balong educational tourism has the potential to become a tourism pilot project that is opened in the new life structure (new normal) because it offers a package.
The region is considered to have a large and unique tourism potential in the form of pottery and ceramics.
Educational tourism in the village of Balong received real support from Blora Regency Government and Exxon Mobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) so as to be able to lift the economy of local residents. (Endah / KOM)
